10 Rupee coin history and evolution
The first 10 rupee normal circulating coin was introduced in year 2005 as people know But people do not know that even before these coins, ₹ 10 were in circulation, these coins were made of silver, whose value is very high in today's time, many of these coins are difficult to get. The first ₹10 coin was a commemorative coin designed on the birth cemetery of Mahatma Gandhi as was issued in 1969–1970, followed by several many ₹10 silver coins that were minted after that coin & those are issued in same composition and today their value and demand in the market is very high.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION : - This is a first commomerative coin issued after we got freedom . This coin was issued in 1969 for Centennial of mahatma gandhi birth . This is a big silver coin . These coins are issued for normal circulating by Calcutta and Bombay mint .

Lettering :- on left Bharat & rupay written in Hindi and on right India & rupees written in English.
REVERSE :- mahatma Gandhi bust facing left.
Lettering :- mahatma gandhi in English as well in Hindi with date 1869-1948.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION :- This coin issued in 1970 & 1971 for commemoration for food for all this is a silver coin and big in size . This coin was minted by Calcutta and Bombay mint .
These coins comes under 3 varites
1. Normal circulation coin - no wave mark behind date .
2. Unc set coin - wave mark behind date .
3. Proof set - 'B' mint mark with wave behind date .

Brief description :- This silver coin was issued in 1972 for 25th anniversary of independence and mint by Calcutta and Bombay mints. This coin is rare and big in size.
